"In the summer of 2025, a pretty profound thought hit me. I'd spent a quarter of a century—literally half my life—immersed in the world of retail. During that time, I had been incredibly fortunate to work with and for some amazing businesses. They helped me build up a huge suite of skills and an incredible network of people.

It suddenly became clear to me: there are so many businesses out there that could truly benefit from my experience and network. Twenty-five years of buying, sourcing, strategic thinking, negotiation, and coaching isn't just a number; it's a deep well of practical knowledge. So, I decided to take a positive leap and create something where my experience could directly help other businesses grow and succeed. And that's how Kite Hill Consulting was born.

I genuinely love retail; I understand its rhythm, its challenges, and have a knack for spotting potential. And I love coaching people, figuring out how to get them to truly connect with products and, more importantly, with each other.

Over these past 25 years, working in senior commercial leadership roles for companies as diverse as Asda and Play Music Today, I've been lucky enough to develop extensive experience in buying, global sourcing, relationship management, and strategic thinking. But through it all, one truth kept resurfacing: everything you do has to be underpinned by people. Great results don't just happen; they come from inspired teams. Real change? That happens through people.
